United States Presidential Election 2024

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

I hear that Trump wants to go after the right of people born in the US to automatically become US citizens. He says it is unique to the US, NZ used to have it but as legislation and not in the constitution but got rid of it as too many Asians going there on 'holiday' to give birth. Surprisingly my son got NZ citizenship even though he has never been there and could not get a UK passport.

I think this constitutional amendment will be tough but I think there will be a lot of support within the US and as they say every cloud has a silver lining.

EDIT : One must assume that either the perpetrator who appears to be born in the US in 1982 was a native born American as his parents were in the US legally at that time or had migrated there legally. Given he seems to be of South Asian heritage his ancestors were legally free to migrate to the US under the terms of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. Given that this act removed the bar on Asian and Eastern European immgration to the US that was in place since the 1920s I would suggest President Trump has a look at repealing this act and also designates certain countries as "Terrorist Source Countries" and bans immigration from them entirely.
The act formally removed de facto discrimination against Southern and Eastern Europeans as well as Asians, in addition to other non-Western and Northern European ethnicities from the immigration policy of the United States.
This is the real kicker from this Act.
During debate on the Senate floor, Senator Ted Kennedy, speaking of the effects of the Act, said, "our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. ... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset."
Try 12 million per annum and you would be about right.

Gotta hand it to Ted. He was wrong in so many fields as well as killing someone by drunken driving.
G'Day cobber!

A lot of Nazi echoes ???

Many people these days are of mixed heritage, so don't neatly fit into one of the boxes...
Most 'white' people are mixed too, if you go back far enough....
And what does 'white' mean anyway - Anglo Saxon ? Slav ? Italian ? 75/25 mix ?
