Unlikely to get that bad here, as we have some indigenous oil and natural gas supplies, and significant wind and solar capacity, and limited but still very useful hydroelectric power.

Rota power cuts are possible, as is a "one off" complete grid shutdown caused by some exceptional event. Re-starting would take a few hours in the best case scenario, or a few days if things went wrong.

Also contains a nice pic of doubtful looking electrical installation, observe the number of burn marks and exposed live metalwork. At least it is mounted on a concrete wall.

Not getting any better in Lebanon, currency devalued and banks being attacked and burnt. And food, fuel, and electricity
