Exactly, although AFAIK we dont get gas from Libya, we will still be affected as those who previously obtained gas from Libya compete with us for other supplies.

Most unlikely to be of direct concern at this time of year, but a worry re filling up storage for next winter.
At the very least I would expect prices to rise.

We've actually been exporting through the interconnector since things kicked off in Libya...

This report suggests a cut of up 3% in natural gas supplies, not a lot, but probably enough to increase prices significantly.

Pretty cold here too. I had to put a heater on when I got up in the middle of the night, when the hairy monster decided to throw up .

My house is freezing at the moment!! I am doing without space heating because the solar hot water system is giving me enough hot water for showers :)

Clear skies at night drop the temperature but clear skies during the day are something else. Lincolnshire has had the cloudiest winter on record but yesterday it was wall to wall sunshine and we generated 19kWhr from our solar pv. Best day yet.

That's great Biff. Sunshine during the day makes a tremendous difference to the temperature indoors here. A balmy 21.5C yesterday afternoon in our lounge which meant no heating needed in the evening as insulation fairly good here.

0 Fahrenheit here this morning. It could ease off into spring weather anytime without a complaint from me.
A lot of people around me heat with heating oil or LPG and have tanks from 175 all the way up to 2000 gallons. Many are hoping to get through the rest of the season on what they have in the tank now thinking that prices will drop back sometime between now and next fall. I think they are making a mistake and prices will not come down for at least a year if ever and they would be well served by topping off their tanks now and again at the end of the season.

I doubt that we see any shortages of natural gas at this time of year, but the price has increased substantialy, presumably in response to the Japanese disaster.

Did you get arrested for indecency, or was it a pretty wild party? I always like to wear trousers when I go out :D.
