Converting vehicles to run on biofuels

Post by grinu »

Hey all, long time no write - been busy moving country and changing jobs. Lots to catch up on - I can see lots has been happening lately.

I want to convert the council's parks maintenance vehicles to bio-diesel - but don't know a lot about it. Not sure whether to pay for equipment to produce bio-diesel, or convert vehicles. No idea of cost implications, ease of obtaining fuel etc. etc. etc. but want to move in that direction.

Any ideas?? Thanks a million.

My Landrover runs on Deathdiesel AKA Biodiesel( one litre of veg oil = one starvation induced death in 3rd world), it has been quite simple to make out of waste veg oil and methanol.
I have no moral concerns in using it as long as the ramifications of the increased use are grasped boldly.

My conversion was done by Regenatec: http://www.regenatec.com/
They have a separate site now for customers doing private vehicles:
