Help, why is my post blank ?

Post by nnnnnn »

I don't know if other people can see it or not but my post in the solar section under "is £60 cheap for 200w of solar" appears blank here. Can other people see it ? When I edit it the message is there .

It's that eBay link. Remove the [url] tags and it works, but I don't know why:
----------------------------------------------
I have pretty much those same panels (bought from Maplin!), they put out their rated power plus a bit more. £200 Is not really cheap though, I paid £29.99 for 13W panels in a sale a few years ago.

Pro's
Cheap?
Put out reasonable power in most light
Strong (a dropped a brick on mine from about 2 feet by accident and they did not even crack) The box claims they can withstand 2" hailstones

Drawbacks
Big for their rated power
Heavy
Can not attach your own wires directly (no junction box)

If I were buying in this price range I would try ebay, cheapest there is £150 for monocrystalline

I think the Chinese reputation for making poor quality will disappear soon most things are pretty decent and at least do what they should. British products aren't significantly better these days (probably because they are made in China and assembled un the UK but....)

As regards your blank post, it was accidently posted twice, and I deleted one copy to avoid clutter, I sent to you a PM re this.
(I quite often delete duplicates, as well as spam)

That should have deleted one duplicate, and left the other one untouched.
This was the case when I viewed shortly afterwards.

Deleting one post should not have removed the content from the other, leaving only the sigline.

Is it possible that you realised that you had posted twice ? and deleted one copy, at the same time as I deleted the other ?

At any event I apologise for the loss of your post, and hope that you can remeber what was said and re-post if you wish.

Hi adam2,
it was not your fault and the post hasn't been lost :)
It's still there, I just can't see it! The reason I posted it twice was I thought if I quote myself maybe I can see my own post but it didn't work
Not your fault in any way adam.

Thanks John, I've removed the tags and it works now! I will have to remember that for any future post.

Thanks all,
