Wanted: 240V LED spotlights to replace 240V 50W GU10's

Can anyone please recommend a suitable 240V LED spotlight (preferably with a warm white output) to replace a 240V 50W GU10 halogen spotlight?

The existing lamp holders were fitted by the previous owner of our house and I'm keen to replace the bulbs with low energy LED's.

Are any of the LED's currently on the market as 'bright' as a 50W halogen spot?

Light output is an important consideration for this particular location. A 'warm' white output would be a bonus.

We've just been thru this for our kitchen - the leds we could get at B&Q were pathetic. Ended up going for 8w Phillips fluoros from Homebase.

Most, and perhaps all LED lamps sold in the high street are of very poor qaulity and unsuited to general lighting.

Much better ones may be obtained from trade suppliers such as international lamps from whom I buy lamps at work.

These are nearly as bright as a 50 watt halogen, and certainly appear the equal of a 35 watt halogen.
They are available in warmwhite which is very close to halogen in colour appearence.
Such qaulity is however expensive, about £18 each !

I bought the fluorescent ones in Tescos - £5 each from memory. They are fine after about 40 seconds.
