In October 2008, the Prime Minister asked Malcolm Wicks MP, as his Special Representative on International Energy Issues, to carry out an independent review of international energy security and how developments internationally were likely to affect the UK’s energy security in the coming decades.

Thanks John. I note this quote from Malcolm Wickes in the press release,

"He strongly recommends the Government pursues energy efficiency and home grown sources of energy with maximum pace and ambition."

Pretty much what we have been saying on PowerSwitch for a number of years.....

I had a read of this yesterday... good brief, well presented, the historical stuff is interesting. The assessment of the future seems way off to me though. It's just more of the usual thinking.
