What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?
“I didn’t think about how we would afford it. I don’t really get pocket money. My dad sometimes gives me £10.”
LOL priceless Shouldn't be laughing, really.....
[edit] OT for Vortex. There is a loose PO connection in so far as this kind of mentality exists in our society. In any case, I found it hilarious when he said he sometimes gets a tenner from his dad in the context of affording to raise a child, and I *thought* it would raise a few sniggles here.

In The Independent there was an article (sorry not got link to hand) that said the couple should make a minimum of £500,000 from the baby. I believe that Max Clifford is working for them (not checked this), so he may be spinning all this. It's claimed that there are numerous media groups wanting interviews and to make documentaries. Certainly, if true, it would explain why her other lovers are claiming they might be the father.
I hope other teenagers aren't encouraged to take this route to celebdom.
She's 15? I'd hazard a guess that 15 is around the median age for a human mother to have her first child. Note how culture shapes a story not the absolute facts.
On 2nd thoughts, African mothers have approximately the same number of first children as European mothers (one) so maybe 15 is on the low side for the global average.

There are plenty of examples of English kings having teenage wives, and one or two kings being teenagers. 15 was quite old enough to be married in Medieval Britain.
Why does anybody ever read the Sun? The mysteries of life.

I was wondering if a DNA test had been done.
If I was the parent of the lad I think I would insist on it.
My son (15) saw her picture on TV & said 'What a moose!'
I'm surprised no action is being taken, she clearly understood what she was doing, I'm less sure about the boy.
The Independent understands that The Sun initially offered the families between £10,000 and £15,000, soon raising that to about £32,000. Max Clifford, Alfie’s agent, refused to confirm the sum, or reports that Alfie would open his DNA test results, expected on Monday, live on television.
