Ben Law's house on Grand Designs
I trust that anyone who saw Ben Law's house on Grand Designs (C4) tonight is just aching with jealousy...
It was a revisit - showing the original construction and then returning three years later to see how things had progressed.aliwood wrote:I no longer have a tv set, but I am aching anyway. It's not on my essential books to have list, but I might just buy it, I remember the program in the last series about it, was it a repeat or a new one? If it's a new one, what's changed?
Suddenly I need a tv
Aarrggh!
Alice, treat yourself to a little LCD TV - they don't use too much energy I understand. The TV is still a useful communications media and also good for some well deserved entertainment from time to time.
You can get them with a DVD built in which should play music CDs too - multi-function!

Real money is gold and silver
But then I would have to pay the tv licence as well! And I only used to watch horizon and useful stuff in the end. I think the book would work out cheaper. The Sky at Night is better quality over the internet too.
Back to Ben Law, I would love to live in a house like that, surrounded by all those trees. His commute to work must be really nice.

He wasn't the only one - he's 'pulled' as well, and has a baby now too! He and his new partner met over a flock of sheep, apparently . . . (whatever suits!)
Just goes to show - there's someone for us all, eh?! No matter how 'weird' or 'eccentric' . . .
