Vortex, I think that you'll find that many of the worlds ills have their root cause in the globalisation policies of the 'Western Tribe'.

You'd find your options extremely limited too, if you were unfortunate enough to be born in Somalia (or any other disadvantaged country in the world).

Globalisation makes millions (billions ?) of people into 'losers' with consequently very stark life choices - Piracy, although wrong, could be seen as a better option than some of the other options such as starvation/drugs etc.

As others have already said, we're not in a position to be all high & mighty as the 'British Tribe' have been pretty efficient Pirates ourselves over the years. Much of the South American gold looted from the Aztecs/Incas by the Spanish was subsequently liberated on the high seas and ended up in our coffers......

On reflection, perhaps Gordon should forget cuts in VAT and instead pinch a few tankers heading through the English Channel.
It might help with job creation for the Chavs as well......
