Economic migration: a fact of life for hundreds of years. Won't we eventually run out of places to migrate to?

The collective memory of the Irish, for example, seems to have quickly faded, blinded as they are by their Celtic tiger. No-one seems to remember that emigration is the lot of the Irish - we're in an anomalous period.
