I have been thinking along these lines recently. The other day on the tram I was reading a headline over someone's shoulder which said, "Internet Heading for Melt-Down". I just thought, oh no, not something else.Erik wrote:Nice post snowhope. You know, one of the worst things that will hit us eventually is losing such easy access to the internet (if not the internet in its entirety), and one of the worst things about that would be not being able to visit Powerswitch! I imagine in a few years time (5, 10, 20, whatever) when society has fundamentally changed, in many ways for the worse (and in some ways it might even have improved), we'll all occasionally wonder what happened to "so-and-so" at powerswitch?.
But it got me thinking - of course the internet is vulnerable, and without Powerswitch I would be very, very alone here in Bury, I expect most of us would be in that regard.
I came to the conclusion we will just have to evolve a bit and communicate by telepathy.
