Brazil *was* an importer. Production did not increase in the first half of 2013 due to planned maintenance on older fields and that the new pre-salt fields had not yet been brought up to speed.
Do a bit more digging and you'll see that production is currently increasing faster than consumption and THUS I speculate that Brazil *may* be able to export.

Oh, hang on, they have inherited wealth ...........................
Why do we need a president?
You Royalists always seem to need someone to kowtow to.

I was thinking exactly that as well, as it happens JSD..

I've just bought 1500 litres of heating oil for my new house.
Insulation is very high on to do list ...
That sounds like about 1000 quid's worth.
Any idea how long that will last?
£950. Time will tell. I have already started adding 200mm more insulation in the 2 rooms with loft space. We are planning to hang curtains over the doors with single pane windows, and filling in the obvious gaps in the walls.
One room has an unfilled cavity wall. 5 windows and 2 doors are not double glazed. The rest have narrow gap DG panes in wood frame casement windows. Secondary glazing seems an option. External insulation on the solid walls is also a possibility.
