I happen to have a copy of the Platform Visitors Guide for Auk A.

It's a very small & old little handbook - but has deck layouts, diagrams, data, escape routes etc.

The rig is old and rusty so things may be different now ....

One thing Alex: the oil rig world changed after the Piper Alpha disaster.

For example, manning was reduced where possible.

Perhaps the Cullen Report on the disaster would include lots of details on rig design etc?

(I can't find a copy on the web but it will be there somewhere)

Also there are now 'crew hotels' in the North Sea ,,, and over 570 oil & gas rigs out there too!
