Northern Rock and the panicking sheeple

What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

The Northern Rock queue in Manchester today didn't get any smaller. It was about a half a block long all day, I left town about 3, but I was in the area all morning and even the tourists were taking pics of the people in the queue. :?

I keep my money in a different bank but my mortgage is with Alliance and Leicester. Only 21 more years to go :roll:
