I've been finding myself increasingly thin-skinned and defensive of late. (often unjustified too so it's something I need to rectify in myself) :oops: Sorry. You're right about the 'like' button, hope the mods really consider this. :oops: :oops:

Surely a "like" button just gets used as a lazy response. Pressing the button and not adding words (which then make the button redundant) doesn't contribute to a discussion. We have managed for years without one, has anybody noticed it's non-existence, until now?

If I saw a post with lots of likes I'd be inclined to disagree with whatever point was made. I always seem to disagree with consensus.

True but there are a lot of posts whose content is
+1 :D
So I suppose that's the like button.
