The real American dream (and more and more, its actuality) is to be the boss without having the nuisance of actual workers. This is the fundamental end game as written about by Naomi Klein in No Logo.

Ultimately in this scenario, all you are is the brand copyright holder. No physical assets or pesky bodies to worry about, just enforcement of legalities.
