hmm..mikepepler wrote:Well, it means that Bush is either:
A) A liar, as it was made perfectly clear.
B) Completely stupid, as it would have been clear to anyone else, only not to him.
C) Both of the above
I'm not making excuses for the guy, but I think it entirely possible he'd completely forgotten what had been said in the videoed briefing but the time he made the 'Nobody anticipated' comment.
Either that or he'd never absorbed it in the first place. He does appear to have a very limited attention span these days. Possibly he'd already zoned out -everything going in one ear and straight out the other - by the time Brown mentioned the levees.
I.e not deliberate lies, just an indication of his dysfunctional mental abilities.
No way of knowing, really. In either case he's totally unfit to be President.
How about this clip of Bush saying something he now denies ever saying.
Perhaps further proof that Bush is a liar, a spin doctor, an idiot, a puppet, insane. Take your pick.

oi! don't tempt him!Bozzio wrote:I notice, snow hope, that you didn't make the same remark over Tess's post about Huricane Katrina and Bush.
I think the difference is that I'm 'only' suggesting that Bush was incompetent in failing to plan for hurricane Katrina. You're suggesting (re 9/11) that he actually planned the thing. That might explain why snow hope jumped on you and not on me. I'm suggesting idiocy. You're suggesting conspiracy.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend anybody.
Yes, I think Bush is a bit of an idiot and probably doesn't remember that he was in a schoolroom rather than outside, when he learnt of the attacks. I suspect it is just a lack of memory for detail, which is starting to happen to me (what a drag it is getting old - said in a Mick Jagger manner).
I posted Big Deal because when I played the link it didn't prove anything to me other than the guy didn't remember.

Real money is gold and silver
Sorry snow hope. Shouldn't have jumped to conclusions.snow hope wrote:I posted Big Deal because when I played the link it didn't prove anything to me other than the guy didn't remember.
However, this link is not about Bush remembering or not. It is about the fact that these words are not meant to exist, period. It does not tally with the official story which you are free to check out for yourself. Anyway, enough said about this issue.
I was just showing that this clip helps make the argument that the concept of Bush as leader is very scary. Of course, if you don't know why this is relevant then you'd be none the wiser.
