Who's Ken? Is he moving here too?caspian wrote:Welcome to Carmarthenshire Ken. I hope you like rain, because we get a LOT of it here. It's rained almost every day (sometimes torrentially) for about 4-5 weeks now.
I know about the rain, I've been here for weeks! Don't know why I'm moving here really, but it's too late now. Just come back from a few days in England. It was sunny until I stopped for lunch in the Forest of Dean, but it's been wet ever since, and now it's pissing down again

I've been to the last two Transition Cafes, and I'll be at the Christmas Fair tomorrow! I've even managed to get on the e-mail list at last, after giving my e-mail address at the Dragon Festival in JulyTed wrote:Creoso. We could make use of your permaculture expertise in the Calon Teifi Transition group too.

I saw a meterologist on TV explaining that there was a "conveyor" weather system where a corridor of warm moist air was being held between two fronts in a narrow North-bound belt. The belt crosses Southern Ireland, Wales and the Midlands and drops the water.JohnB wrote:This year has been extraordinarily wet, even by Wales standards. One wonders where it's all coming from.
