Is it going to go all feudal?

Anarchy, guns, ethnic cleansing, terrorism, local warlords?

Is this a vision of the future for the UK?

It's on i-player so will disappear soon.

Full of eccentrics. Trouble is that modern Britain doesn't have time for them anymore - we all have to live within tiny boundaries these days.

The local teenage thugs can do just as well as warlords even without guns.
I think we are already there.

What do you think will happen once the teenage thugs can no longer afford their cheap lager, hash and playstation games.

Do you think those living in their private houses right next to the council estates will be left unmolested?

Ha.

No :(. An ever growing proportion of low skilled work has gone elsewhere, with no obvious sign of coming back. There is now a large, multi-generational group of dispossessed people in the UK, it could get hairy.

I’m not a particular fan of Ken Livingstone but I remember him making a similar point in an interview and finishing with: “I wouldn’t employ any of these people, I don’t know who would”. Coming from Red Ken, who isn’t supposed to give up on people, I found this particularly depressing.

It's not funny - it's pretty scary really

I live in a nice neighbourhood and I've lived in this area all my life. Last week, about half a mile from where I live, apparently 8 young lads all dressed head to toe in black (and therefore unrecognisable and un-identifiable) ambushed an older lad on a bike for his money. I don't live anywhere near a council estate and where the attack took place was nowhere near a council estate either.

Nowhere is immune.

I'll spare you a lot of hairy stories from the market town near me. But most happened during "The good times". God knows what it'll be like if we go into a Japanese-style 15 year recession or a Great Depression II.

Will we see the rise of gated communities? Sad.

Dunno about gated communities where I am, but the first sign of any nonense there will be a few trees felled across my lane and Mr DBS will get a promotion from rabbit and feathered friend duty.
