Running away to Wales.
Moderator: Peak Moderation
Completed on my house purchase today and spent the day moving a whole load of stuff from storage in London down to Wales. Met one of the neighbours - really lovely. They already keep chickens and have a veg plot going, and one of them is an ex-carpenter and manages our neighbouring woodland.
Can't wait to get down there on a more permanent basis. It's only a small place, but after living on a narrowboat for two years it feels palatial.

When society breaks down, do all we Powerswitchers tramp off to set up a commune with you? (As long as you're not handy with a gun like that woman in Survivors)

hey, one of the other two cabins adjacent to my new land is selling up now.

Anyone fancy joining Dave & I in ferryside?
(they're selling the place because they broke up, not because we moved in, in case you're wondering...)
It's 2/3 the price of ours. Nicer house, only a big garden rather than the 1/2 acre we have. But you'd have some very nice neighbours and no doubt some shared veggie plots/chickens...
