Gardening these days.
Normally I would add studying... but since it's an OU course on Environment and Sustainability (T172 in case anyone was interested), that gets me thinking about this kind of stuff again.
Bit of photography.
Not so 'eco' is the computer aspect... a bit of geeking around programming my Mac (at least it's software that's going to help me in my garden planning).
.... then there's good food and good wine too, hic

. and, ahem, a bit of the old rumpy pumpy with the good lady does the trick too

Literally or metaphorically? I have the literal sort just outside my kitchen window. Moscatel. Sparrows usually have all the grapes off it before I get a look in, though.RenewableCandy wrote:Even when I'm having a glass I still think "We've got a grapevine..."Aurora wrote: Why do I get the feeling that we're a bunch of piss artists?
ps
why is it so friggin' cold & generally miserable? 42mm of rain yesterday. Looked ok first thing but just got caught in a small but nasty hailstorm on my scooter on the way home. I blame James Hansen.

Having the baby has been pretty effective at making PO seem fuzzy and less real. When I'm cuddling him or doing work to look after him, everything seems better.
The post-birth mental fug makes it hard to to focus on the specifics of PO. That helps too.
Exchanging contracts on the house after 7 long months has helped too. What a relief!

I mean a real one, it even has several bunches of ripening grapes on it!skeptik wrote:Literally or metaphorically?RenewableCandy wrote:Even when I'm having a glass I still think "We've got a grapevine..."Aurora wrote: Why do I get the feeling that we're a bunch of piss artists?
Thanks for timely reminder, though, of the usefulness of cultivating a metaphorical grapevine
As for your rain, I blame the Jet Stream.

Getting together in a pub to play a few tunes and having the craic with your friends.
Sweeping up leaves for the compost heap.
Walking the dog on a very cold, empty windswept beach.
Cycling the back roads to work when school's out.
Getting immersed in a good book in front of a log fire with a dozing dog at your feet.

I've been getting into Phillosophy by Allan Watts, for such an intelligent man he talks in way that's so easy to understand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsgXMRB4TeQ and http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 6818009166 are just a couple of great online examples.
I also enjoy relaxing and watching movies, my fave are horror films which I also do reviews of for my website.
