This might give you an idea of how many spam users we've deleted - although Geo Energy just took our user count over 1000 (18 Aug) the database shows over 2400 users registered over time. The 1000th registration was around 22 March 2007!

Hmm. Maybe we should enable the ranking system... any suggestions for names for >100, >200, >500, >1000 posts etc?

I'd agree with Tess. I'm not sure what use labelling serves.

PO.com uses grades of oil... "Heavy sour", "Light sweet crude" etc.

You could always have levels of doomerism, but that would fit better at LATOC then here.

We used to use oil-producing countries as our rank, eg 'Saudi Arabia'. This was of course very confusing as newbies arrived to be amazed at how many middle-east people there were on a uk site! :)

Such as, 'abiotic', 'infinite resource', 'sustainable' 'pre-peak', 'half gone', 'post-peak', 'the embarrassing slurping sound a straw makes', for instance?

Haha - I like that one!

Another long-time lurker - recent member - only-just-poster. Don't feel too down about the comparison of numbers on here vs those interested in motorhomes - motorhomes are a lot more obvious than the end of the world-as-we-know-it (at least for the moment).

Probably most new people who come here are so busy catching up with all the great discussions that have already happened that they don't have time to post themselves . . . but we'll catch up eventually!

I hate these people who post up appalling jokes just to get their post count up a bit.
