US: Sarah Palin and Big Oil

Post by Aurora »

Washington Post - 31/08/08

Energy Wire talked to Gov. Sarah Palin in May about her views on Big Oil, offshore drilling and a long-awaited, expensive and controversial natural gas pipeline for which she has been pushing hard. With McCain's announcement Friday, suddenly her comments seem a lot more interesting.

I can't believe the Republicans actually hope that many of the would-be Hilary Clinton voters would switch sides just because Sarah Palin is now on board. If this is true (and it might be, its the USA afterall), then hopefully they'll be put off by the creationism stuff among other things. But who knows? Maybe if the Republicans handle Gustav well then the election will be in the bag regardless of party policies and personalities.

I was wondering what MILF was and er... well now I know (Thanks Wikipedia). Is there an acronym for absolutely everything?

Dude, if I was gonna lower the tone, I would have said, I'd like to bang her like a stable door in a hurricane, but I didn't, thought I was very restrained there too...

Sarah Palin a creationist? Oh dear. I wonder how they would explain the presence and nature of oil and gas then? If God wanted us to have oil he would have given us infinite amounts of it; if he didn't want us to have it he wouldn't have given us any.
