I should be able to manage that. As long as you don't shorten Charlie's legs practising with your scythe

Scythe competitions are normally run by scything a 5m x 5m square against the clock. If you have the grass for it ken, I'm quite happy to lend my scythe to others for the competition. I can do a workshop on scything on Saturday if you like, or could just show people less formally as and when... not that I am an expert you understand!!!!! I have read the scythe book though, so I know how it should be done in theory....

How many people are coming so far Ken?
I've got over 50 coming so far.

I could do with a scythe workshop...
In the absence of left-handed scythes I think I'll give that one a miss, thanks :D

Are we going to use our forum user names at the get together, or our real names? I can't imagine most people on here use their real names, but I could be wrong!

Incidentally my last name isn't B, but it does start with that letter, although I've been called other names starting with B

I'll have to confess that "1" isn't my last name either. :)

I should be able to turn up early to help Ken set up. I think I'll volunteer to make name badges

I was wondering about the usefulness of a spoddy kind of introduction booklet thing. Forum name - real name - breif description of interests, skill etc....

It might help those with similar interests or relevant skills meet up and chat in the limited time we have.

For every complex problem, there is a simple answer, and it's wrong.
