Hi! Folks

I've had 20 either PMs or expressions of interest through this thread for the Gathering, not all of whom have PMed me. If everyone comes and, on average, brings a partner we're looking at about 40 people so far.

First of all, can those who have expressed an interest in this thread please PM me to confirm.

Secondly, can those who are coming please PM me, if you haven't done so already, so I know how much food and beer to get in and how many loos, etc. to provide. After all, if it was a formal Peakspeak you would have to book a place.

Thirdly, do you want a bigger gathering or do you want it restricted to PowerSwitchers only. I'm sure some of the Transition West Berkshire and CAT MSc people would be interested and interesting. I know some of you are bringing friends anyway. I was thinking about labelling such as " I'm .......... and I'm a Powerswitcher/TWB/CAT Person to help break the ice a bit.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Ken

As a Powerswitcher and a CAT MSc person, I'd say lets open it out. More opportunities for cross-fertilisation of ideas. It sounds like more planning work for you though Ken.

Already PMed. :) Do we need to bring any food at all? I'm veggie, so don't mind bringing alternatives if needed?

Yes, open it up - any like minded people sounds good.

There will be a choice of veggie and carnivore. If there are any vegans coming can you let me know and we'll ensure you are catered for as well.

I've had a few positives about opening it up to CAT and TT people and no negatives so I will open it.

Just to clarify - should we bring things to make out own tea, coffee & breakfast in the mornings? Sorry to harp on about this, but I am obsessed with availability of food at regular times. I keel over if I don't eat often!!!!

Only 3 and a half weeks to go! :D

Sorry guy's, can't make it this time. Was all ready and rearing to go, but I would have to leave London tomorrow to get there on time, and there is just still too much to do here. I won't be able to get away for a week or two yet, so it's off for me this year. :( I hope everyone has a really great time and I will read all about it on the Forum. Enjoy yourselves and have a beer for me. Hope to meet everyone next year. :D

I may not have space on my roof for as much PV as Mitch, but at least I'm a bit more mobile. I'm in Pembrokeshire at the moment, leaving Haverfordwest tomorrow, going to Cardigan for a few days, then spending a couple of weeks wandering around Mid Wales and Shropshire, then to the other side of Wolverhampton, and down to Newbury :D.

We'll have to take turns pedalling to keep the music going. I'm bringing 2 of my children so we can bribe them to do some of it. :D

If my calculations are correct, the batteries will re-charge during the day from the sun and people pedalling. Then we can all relax at night and drain the batteries (and bottles of beer etc) at our leisure!

Don't forget to bring your iPod . . . otherwise you'll just have to listen to my choice of music!!
