Hi fennelseed. I officially live in Carhampton, but only go there occasionally to collect my post. Life on the road is much more enjoyable, and I probably won't be back if/when I decide to settle down. I spent a fair bit of time in Minehead last winter, but don't know what I'll do this winter.

Are you new to the area, or just to peak oil? I don't know of anyone local who is particularly PO aware, but it's almost a year since I actually lived there and things might have changed, but you might find people in Forum 21 or West Somerset LETS Group.

Hi John, I'm in Timberscombe near Minehead for over 10 years now but commute to work so don't know many people. Have joined forum 21 and am about to petition the local council for allotments (with 11 applicants).
And I'm new to Peak Oil but was aware that things were going to change for a long long time.
Hope you're happy wherever you settle!

Do you know Nicky Gibbard? She's in or near Timberscombe and is doing food related stuff. You should be able to contact her through Forum 21.

Say hello for me next time you see her. I met her when I ran a local permaculture group a few years ago.

I live in London but frequently visit Minehead as my Mother lives there.

Will post here in advance of my next visit, perhaps we could meet?
