Why now, specifically?
Coupla reasons - it was a redundancy payout - if I didn't take the plunge I soon wouldn't have the money or the P.V. Also, I lived outside work on thier free leccy - don't have that anymore, so have to provide my own. Thought P.V. would be better spend than diesel genset etc.

You'll need 50% of the output to energise the electric security fence around it!

:D Yea, thought of that - no, they are semi-flex and will be glued - REALLY glued - to the roof of my boat.Supposedly unbreakable and walk onable, they may scratch, but this can be polished out - we'll see when they arrive next week......Made in England and sll, somewhere in Solent? Well, the company is called Solent Energy anyway.

You put all that kit...on a boat?? (erm...you'd better not answer that or Vortex'll be stalking the towpath with his crowbar!)

I know I'm going to regret asking, but WTF is "Snog marry avoid"? Is this an example of why I haven't got a telly?

95% of my use of the iPlayer is for Dr Who 8) so I can't help you with your question more than this, but it looks like yet another inane brain dead offering:
BBC prograb blurb wrote:The world's first makeunder show sees OTT girls and boys transformed into natural beauties. Fake-tan obsessed Levi from Kent and glamour model wannabe Tamsin undergo the change.
Levi and Tamsin?

I did recently watch the series "Blood, sweat & T-Shirts" on the iPlayer about the effects of our obsession with cheap clothes in high st. shops and the realities of the Indian clothing industry. They turned the program into a competition and survival special for a load of spoilt teenagers. The idea of a straight documentary is obviously very hard to sell these days.

Luckily I dumped my TV in 2003 so the overwhelming majority of this junk passes me by.

One of the few advantages of accessing the web through a mobile phone, and almost always being in places with no 3G signal, is that I can't use things like the iPlayer :D.
