This was first announced back in Decmber.
I wonder what's happened since then? Sounds as if it's the Crown Estate clearance. I hope the MOD sort out their objections about radar just as quickly. If they can't, then as some Scots wit said, I'm off to sell turbines to the Iranians!

The Crown Estate, which owns the UK seabed, has agreed to invest up to 50% of the cost of obtaining planning consent for wind farm sites.
Right, so that covers half the cost of applying for planning permission. Wow.

So the private sector will still have to pay for the development - and we all know what trends that particular area is showing at the minute.

Sorry . . . don't mean to be a pessimist.
