What can we do to change the minds of decision makers and people in general to actually do something about preparing for the forthcoming economic/energy crises (the ones after this one!)?

However, when it comes to mindless violence and wanton vandalism, I often find myself to the far right of Genghis Khan. Chavs and Neds beware.
Chavs maybe, but why pick on Non Executive Directors? Is it because of the large fancy cars they drive?
Non Executive Directors? Wonderful group of people.
I was referring to:
NED (Non-Educated Delinquent) is a derogatory term applied to certain young people in Scotland (similar to the terms chav, skanger used in Ireland, and spide in Northern Ireland). The stereotypical view of a ned is a white adolescent male, of working class background, who wears fake Burberry, who engages in hooliganism, petty criminality, loutish behaviour, underage drinking and smoking or general anti-social behaviour. They are often assumed to be unemployed.
Imagine the confusion down at the Job Centre. "Experienced NEDs required to oversee and advise on the running of large corporations and public institutions. ?6.50 an hour, plus expenses."

Put's me with the Greens and the Dalai Lama, so no surprise there.
I remember doing this when I was in the sixth form, about 1970. Some of the questions had slightly different wordings and in the pre-computer era one had to add up the scores and plot the graph by hand, but my result was pretty similar!

Peter.
Left? New Labour? I thought their constituency was big business and the Anglo-American banking sytem. Annointed by Rupert Murdoch and the Bilderburg group. I don't think Blairism has ever had anything to do with socialism. The old Labour party was just a conveniently moribund vessel for his ambitions, ripe for a putsch from within.

WTF? I ain't a commie
A load of rubbish, I may disfavour globalization and multi-national companies but I thoroughly support small businesses, industries and localized economies in the way capitalism should be.
Also against state interference on personal choices (i.e. banning and taxing) but I also agree that big businesses should be regulated and that there should be some protectionism on goods.
