He certainly makes no mention of it on his personal webpage. Go figure.

Well, there goes his credibility as far as I'm concerned.
Bob Carter gave a seminar to a bunch of earth scientists (including some with an interest in paleoclimates) at a local uni (I have a friend there). I'm told it was more of a lobbyists-style presentation than a scientific seminar and didn't go down well with the assembled boffins some of whom knew a fair bit about areas he touched on.
His only current academic position is an adjunct position which is an honorary/unpaid type of thing, and although he was once active in the area of micro-climates and paleoclimate, these days he seems to be devoting himself more to lobbying, often for an Aussie right-wing think tank called the Institute of Public Affairs and also for similar outfits in the US and various astroturf organisations.
