Session ends when parliament is 'proroged' usually in late Oct/early Nov which is when the business is all finished and the Bills that have been passed all get royal assent and become Acts (those that haven't been fast-tracked) followed by a short break (to set up the red carpets) and the State Opening of Parliament with a new Queen's speech for the new session.
That's what happens in a normal year, but this year there was an election so I suspect that the session that started in May might run through until next November ('06) - not sure what the government decided about that.
