Cannibalism

Post by Vortex »

Hugh & Jamie could do a "Die Off Cookbook" and matching TV series.

"Don't forget to hoard a bit of garlic and sorrell with those shotguns.
Bang, bang, hack, hack & then bosh, wosh luvverly nosh."

Cannibalism or suicide?

If things got THAT DESPERATE which would you and your family choose?

The gun to each others heads? Or eat your neighbour who died from starvation yesterday? (and he died in cold weather so he is still nice and fresh!?)

I can promise you this: If cannibalism ever become prevalent, it will be for a VERY short period. Absolutely not more than a year, probably just a couple of months, with the most activity in the first couple of weeks. Catabolic collapses have an extreme "thinning" effect, and there wont be many people around to be eaten after just a couple of weeks.

I don't think cannibalism is a scenario here in the west - we will probably resort to innovation and modified behavior instead. That's the way we usually do it.

Seasoned cannibals call human meat "long pig", so save your eggs for that post apocalypse fry up.
