Apologies if this one's already been done... if it hasn't, that's just unforgivable. :?

Neil Young: Vampire Blues

I'm a vampire, babe,
suckin' blood from the earth
I'm a vampire, baby,
suckin' blood from the earth.
Well, I'm a vampire, babe,
sell you twenty barrels worth.

I'm a black bat, babe,
bangin' on your window pane
I'm a black bat, baby,
bangin' on your window pane.
Well, I'm a black bat, babe,
I need my high octane.

Good times are comin',
I hear it everywhere I go
Good times are comin',
I hear it everywhere I go.
Good times are comin',
but they sure comin' slow.

I'm a vampire, babe,
suckin' blood from the earth
I'm a vampire, baby,
suckin' blood from the earth.
Well, I'm a vampire, babe,
sell you twenty barrels worth.

Good times are comin'...

That's sooooo cool 8) I wish Neil Young had a bit less of a whiney voice, mind.

Good golly Miss Molly and boats
Hammersmith Palais, the Bolshoi Ballet
Jump back in the alley and nanny goats

18-wheeler Scammels, Domenecker camels
All other mammals plus equal votes

Being rather silly, and porridge oats

A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome, we can spare it - yellow socks
Too short to be haughty, too nutty to be naughty
Going on 40 - no electric shocks

The juice of the carrot, the smile of the parrot
A little drop of claret - anything that rocks
Elvis and Scotty, days when I ain't spotty,
Sitting on the potty - curing smallpox

These are the oil-dependent items:

18-wheeler Scammels,
Take your mum to paris
lighting up the chalice
the Vincent motorsickle

Still plenty of reasons left. :D

I'm sure someone will come up with a non-oil-dependent solution to all of these items. After all, "there ain't 'alf been some clever b*stards" (lucky bleeders, lucky bleeders) :D

Earth Song - Michael Jackson (Yeh, I know  :))

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain...
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah

What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores

Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah

Hey, what about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can't even breathe
(What about us)
What about the bleeding Earth
(What about us)
Can't we feel its wounds
(What about us)
What about nature's worth
(ooo, ooo)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
We're ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can't we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can't you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about babies
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What was us)
What about death again
(ooo, ooo)
Do we give a damn

Oil is around $110.00 a barrel, the price of wheat is skyrocketing, it's all begining to unfold, becoming a bit too surreal for me I'm afraid...

"It's time to play the music
It's time to light the lights
It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight.

It's time to put on makeup
It's time to dress up right
It's time to raise the curtain on the Muppet Show tonight.

Why do we always come here
I guess we'll never know
It's like a kind of torture
To have to watch the show

And now let's get things started
Why don't you get things started
It's time to get things started
On the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational
This is what we call the Muppet Show! "

"We can run, but we can't hide"
Words John Barlow 1989, music Brent Mydland and Grateful Dead
Album "Built to Last"

==================================
We don't own this place, though we act as if we did,
It's a loan from the children of our children's kids.
The actual owners haven't even been born yet.

But we never tend the garden and rarely we pay the rent,
Some of it is broken and the rest of it is bent
Put it all on plastic and I wonder where we'll be when the bills hit.

[Chorus:]
We can run,
But we can't hide from it.
Of all possible worlds,
We only got one:
We gotta to ride on it.
Whatever we've done,
We'll never get far from what we leave behind,
Baby, we can run, run, run, but we can't hide.
Oh no, we can't hide.

I'm dumpin' my trash in your back yard
Makin' certain you don't notice really isn't so hard
You're so busy with your guns and all of your excuses to use them.

Well, it's oil for the rich and babies for the poor,
We got everyone believin' that more is more,
If a reckoning comes, maybe we will know what to do then.

[Bridge:]
All these complications seem to leave no choice,
I heard the tongues of billions speak with just one voice,
Saying, "Just leave all the rest to me,
I need it worse than you, you see."
And then I heard...
The sound of one child crying.

Today I went walking in the amber wind,
There's a hole in the sky where the light pours in
I remembered the days when I wasn't afraid of the sunshine.

But now it beats down on the asphalt land
Like a hammering blow from God's left hand
What little still grows cringes in the shade like a bad vine.

===================

"Oil for the rich and babies for the poor"... seems to sum it up pretty well

"Shopping" by the Barenaked Ladies! :D

[CHORUS:]
Well you know that it's going to be alright
I think it's gonna be alright
Everything will always be alright
When we go shopping

Well you know that it's going to be alright
When we go shopping
It's always lalalalala...
Shopping spree begin
It's always lalalalala...
Everybody wins

So shutup
And never stop
Let's shop
Until we drop

[CHORUS]

It's always lalalalala...
Shopping never end
It's always lalalalala...
Shopping with our friends
Shopping once again

It's always lalalalala... [x4]

It's never enough
Until you've got all the stuff
When the going gets rough
Just shop with somebody tough

[CHORUS (x2)]

It's always...
When we go shopping [x3]

It's always lalalalala... [repeat to fade]

The Tubes - Theme Park

I'm goin' to the theme park
Lookin' for a thrill
Gonna stay 'til they close it
'Til I get my fill
Spinning on a Tilt-A-Whirl
Nothin' like it in this world
Close your eyes and hold on tight
We can make it last all night
Can't wait 'til the summer starts
Goin' down to the theme park
Leave your cares in the parking lot
I lost my heart at the theme park
Can't wait 'til the summer starts
Leave your cares in the parking lot
Down at the theme park
I'm sliding down the Matterhorn
I'm falling through the floor
Flying on a fantasy
Everyone can find a dream
Gonna make you feel so fine
Take a ride on love tonight
Can't wait 'til the summer starts
Goin' down to the theme park
Leave your cares in the parking lot
I lost my heart at the theme park
Can't wait 'til the summer starts
Leave your cares in the parking lot
Down at the theme park
