October 11th conference - who is coming, where to meet

Post by admin2 »

The October 11th conference is coming up soon and so I'd basically like to use this thread to find out (a) who is coming or intending to come and (b) who is coming along to the pre-conference dinner the night before, if anyone. And if so,where?

This sticky thread will be removed after the conference.

Me too. Also up for dinner night before, as long as it's not in a smokey pub!

I'll be there, if those in the area could nominate a good place to eat for the 20+ people this is likely to attract that would be great.

I know of good cheap pub that does grub and in the upstairs part is no-smoking - but there are no guarentees. Just off Oxford Street. Plenty of other food places nearby if that doesn't work out.

I'll be there. I should arrive just before the start, but I can hang around for a couple of hours afterwards.

Is there any chance of a meal afterwards instead (or even as well as :o )?

I'm perhaps being selfish but it would mean a) that I can meet up and chat with everyone without having to come up the previous evening and find a place to stay that night and b) We can discuss what we've heard during the day.

Just a thought :)

Yes, there will be a meetup aftwarwards as well, in some nearby pub. Not a bad idea to pre-arrange it. I will look into it.

I really should be going, still need to buy a ticket though! I might drag someone else along if I can.

Cheers James - and one with food would be excellent :)

I will be coming, but I can't stay for any meal or pub, because of
family.

Not me. Too far I think.
Any chance of a transcript or an audio recording to be posted here?
What a shame, seemed quite promising, this human species.
