No, we're not like the French. That's why we're so flipping miserable.

I think the Mediterranean peoples have life sussed, and the transition following peak oil is going to be a lot less stressful for them. IMHO.

I suspect that Brits fall into one of two general groups:
- French compatible
- German compatible

I like 'em both. Lived in Germany for a long time as a kid, and have had several great holidays in France. Oh, and Americans are cool too.

Worked in almost if every major city in Germany, and in countless towns and villages over 4yrs really liked the Germans. They can be fickle and they do treat immigrants from Czech and Poland like dirt. On site they are defo not liked, treated like slaves and you can see a glint of the old ways in the Germans eyes. I got many German friends that I visit from time to time, all hate their past, to which I often explain every other country has often commited the same evil or similar even if on a lesser scale. But all in all I really love Germany and the people especially the schwabisch. Also worked in the south of france for 6 months, reeeeeeelaxed that was :-)

Possibly. But I don't think f**kwittery (or lack of it) is one, though.

The stereotype amongst many of the other German tribes is that they are tight-fisted.

If you have to look as America as a race, you can't really forgive the re-election of Bush. As individuals, Americans are, well... individuals.

Vortex, those look very like the BNP that I saw campaigning in my local town recently. Very very scary people.

Doesn't this forum have filters for that sort of pornography? And just what is that girl tucked under the evil bloke's left armpit thinking?
