Full details at www.teqs.net/event
This event is primarily focused on climate change, but in the light of peak energy issues. At the national level we will be discussing TEQs (Tradable Energy Quotas) which is a scheme specifically designed to assist the energy descent in the light of both peak energy and climate change.
At the international level, Aubrey Meyer will be discussing his Contraction and Convergence framewrok for addressing greenhouse emissions, and at the local level Mary Holdstock will be discussing the steps taken in Woking to move towards sustainable energy supplies.
There will also be stalls there from groups such as CAT (ZeroCarbonBritain report) and Transition Towns, who are very focused on peak energy and its consequences.
It is a free event with refreshments provided, so if you are in the area (Richmond, Greater London) and interested feel free to drop by.

We meet once a month and it would be great to meet you there if you're interested. We're part of the national World Development Movement organisation: http://www.wdm.org.uk/
My personal interest is primarily in the peak oil/climate change side of things, but the local group is wonderfully diverse, which makes for lots of useful 'cross-pollination' and support.
