Not the first really bad typo on the website!
Actually we are down slightly today after setting yet another new high ($82.51). Price for October WTI is now $81.30.
Today is the first day for about 2 weeks we haven't seen massive wave of hedge fund buying. I wonder if they're done for the time being?
I expect they're all back on a roll with the equties now the BoE has promised 10 BILLION of 'liquidity' for the 3 month money markets. Idiots.

And I wonder at whom the finger of blame from the BoE and it's board/gov will point? You can almost take it for granted there'll be cries of "Not my fault, blame....."marty wrote:Might be a relatively short 'cycle'. Went to the source... and it told me that the price has now leapt up to $84 (gulp!)mikepepler wrote:I think you're best getting it straight from the source:

Er, yes, I left the office at 6 with the price having been at $82 all day, and then suddenly in the last hour of trading it jumps $2. Not untypical of recent days I must admit. Mind you it was the last day of trading for the October contract, so tomorrow the front month becomes November and that takes us back down to about $81.50 again.Erik wrote:Went to the source... and it told me that the price has now leapt up to $84 (gulp!)mikepepler wrote:I think you're best getting it straight from the source:
