I would say that there isn't one Sally, it's just popular with other people, therefore it's a good way to interact with others and get them to come over here, or they see your profile and ask and it's an easy way to get them thinking about energy.

I only joined as a way to advertise my business!

I put up a facebook site the other day so I could join PowerSwitch's page. Because I haven't got a proper web-page at the moment, It means I've got somewhere to put my photos up!!

I'd say the advantage lies in the 'strength of weak ties' thingie. There I am on some other groups and the Leeds network, other people will stumble on my site and see I'm a member of this thing PowerSwitch oh what's that? It's also fun to put what you're doing at the moment "Candy is deleriously happy with her new low energy bills" etc...

I haven't bothered with facebook, just another thing to spend time on online. I'm already on 3 forums and have a "Myspace" page, and that's enough for me!!!

I need to get out more!!!

The number of people on it - I've got in touch with loads of old friends I'd lost touch with.

It's quite good for people who 'live away' like me. I'm able to message and share piccies with the rest of my family who are 400 miles away in Wales.

I've just joined but when I follow the link Aliwood put on it seems to be asking me to put in her email address to "find" her. I have to admit I don't understand it. Will have a play around with it.

I seem to have been able to join the Powerswitch group though.

I keep reading articles about what evil capitalists the paybook/facepal owners are, who just want to steal all our personal data to make into a giant marketing database they can sell to advertisers...
