Micro Generation

Hi all,

I am new to the site but joined after searching for diesel and butane generators and I came across the term micro generation.

Now it seems to me that we have thie potential already and I was wondering if the thought of upgrading the gas combi boiler to some sort of gas fired generator would be feasible?

I am not talking about a DIY job, but some professionally built, with the co-operation of the energy suppliers, piece of equipment.

You would need some sort of generator - hence noise.

Also, you would need electricity storage => batteries & invertors.

This is the sort of application where a larger unit would be better ... say a sound insulated container module shared between 10 or 20 houses.
