Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grants
Re: Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grants
All very well, but the guidance says you need local council authority, and does not say which local authority to contact, or how, or which ones have policies to allow these installations.
I tried to contact mine over a street side install two years ago and got nowhere. Their traffic department had never heard of in street ev charge points and had no plans to even discuss them.

My work has just installed 2x 22kw and 6x 7.5kw charging points. They had to pull in around 40m of 5c 40mm(ish) SWA and install a load of new switches and breakers; that's a big capital investment.

Is that for company's own vehicles or for staff personal cars? If staff cars, how much do they charge? Maybe they are making a profit on the power?mr brightside wrote: ↑20 Mar 2024, 06:53 My work has just installed 2x 22kw and 6x 7.5kw charging points. It's for employee's cars, and i believe there is a tariff, though i would expect it will be subsidised.clv101 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2024, 07:02Is that for company's own vehicles or for staff personal cars? They have also installed 4 e-bike chargers in the bike sheds which are free to use, for those who require electric assistance in order to pedal a bike.
