"The most serious error was the confusion by the report’s author, Ewen Stewart, between power capacity in megawatts (MW) with electricity generation in megawatt hours (MWh). As a result, he presented an unrealistic “£1.3m per MWh” figure for the cost for onshore wind power. The true number is more than 10,000 times lower at about £50 to £70 per MWh. Another error was mixing up billions with trillions."

I guess the author only wanted to get the "right" answer!

This is what happens when you get nontechnical people who are good with spreadsheets doing a technical job. It's all the rage where i work, and it costs us an arm and a leg.

Adam has been banging on about the difference between kW and kWhrs for years. The author obviously hasn't been on this site recently.

Agree, I don't take very seriously ANY report in which KW and KWH are confused. Likewise amps and ampere hours.
We cant expect journalists to understand these sorts of things, but government ministers and advisors should have at least a basic understanding.
