CIA director meets Russia’s top spy chief for secret Ukraine talks

This seems to confirm who the two main parties in this conflict are.

Having read that, your initial comment is revealed to be misleading. The two main parties in this conflict are Russia and Ukraine. The US is involved in a critical capacity because Russia is nuclear-armed and the US has a legal obligation to protect Ukraine from Russian nuclear threats. The article makes clear that these are not "negotiations", and I believe that to be the truth. There is no negotiation here, just the US making clear to Russia what NATO's response is going to be if the Russians are stupid enough to go nuclear.

Kinburn. Kilburn is in North London.
Well good for them. I found a nice article on the nature of this place. Apparently a favourite spot for Ukrainian nudists (and maybe even a few Russian ones too) though I could not use my business computer to search for confirmation of this fact.

I have only one memory of Kilburn. I went to see the Sugarcubes (Bjork) first ever London gig there. We stopped at McDonalds at the way, and I got food poisoning from it.

The more gung ho commentators are reporting that Russia is retreating from the east bank of the Dneiper towards Melitapol, and Ukrainian forces have crossed at multiple points with fighting in towns on the east bank. Far too early to say if this is more than probing attacks, but shows Ukraine is not going to relinquish the initiative easily. Of course Ukraine will find it hard to maintain a bridgehead just as the Russians did on the West Bank, but it seems ludicrous for them to leave the entire area so under defended. They may have missed their chance to blow the dam and flood the valley. In Donbas Russia is making small gains, claiming one town they have been attacking for months. However it is overlooked by Ukrainian held high ground and will be hard to hold.

Ukraine needs to take care that they don't get cut off on the East bank by any rash attacks. I favour a steady approach that kills as many Russians as possible for the least cost in Ukraine dead and resources. Either Russians learn their lesson or they run out of military age men.

I hear there has been a Russian attack on Poland that should be answered. I would favour an initial NATO incursion of 100 km into the parts of Ukraine that directly border NATO countries and set up a 'security zone' that is patrolled by NATO forces in the air and on the ground. Unidentified military objects or personnel to be engaged with maximum force.

Two dead after presumably Russian missiles land 40km into Poland. Russia denies responsibility, Ukraine calls it a deliberate attack on a NATO country, which Poland could use to trigger a NATO retaliation. USA sitting on the fence at the moment.

It could be a mistake or faulty navigation by Russian missiles,or a deliberate escalation in the middle of the G20 summit.

Euro falls in value. I am getting nervous, hopefully this will result in Ukraine being given more long range missiles and air defences to counter the threat.

Poland has been supplying troops and kit to fight Russia.
Any major fuss over a probably accidental missile impact would simply be deliberate warmongering.

Okay, this is interesting... what do we know? Poland, a farm, two missiles, grain silo, Ukrainian grain(?).
Poland and Russia long term enemies - I don't think it was an accident, but order might not have come from top.
How does Poland respond? I think they will, especially as they no Russia has not spare capacity to respond.

Poland invokes article 4 of NATO, to call urgent meeting to discus the situation.
