Re: Road Rage
I've been around the military since my early twenties and the mess culture is one of the major things that keeps the guys together. This can have a major affect on family life but that is not a consideration. It doesn't obviously affect all families but where it does the reaction from TPTB is "tough"!
The disregard for problems continues after a squady leaves the service. There is no support for an alcoholic ex squady who also has PTSD and none at all for the family.

Many rude words are censored, as are others linked to spam.

Re: Road Rage
Nudging things back on topic again . This road rage posting on r/collapse Germany relates to
the small German EVs I have referenced on another topic nearby.
"My elderly parents recently did switch their old car for an "Elektrofrosch" (https://www.elektrofrosch-berlin.de/), an small, low-tech, very inexpensive electric "car", mostly for trips inside or to the villages nearby. From time to time they drive to the next nearby town when they need something special from a store there or need to go to the doctor. Last week they did such a trip and they were nearly run off the streets by some big SUV and frequently honked at. Wtf is wrong with the people? This thing is street legal and they are driving at the rightmost side of the street..."
I must agree indeed what the feck is wrong with these people? I would consider getting something like this
and driving one on the roads around here would equate to taking your life into your hands! Even driving at the leftmost side of the street.

Re: Road Rage
My limited experience of the damnedable Hun on their Autobahns is that driving a bit too slowly is seen of as an anti-social act that requires a honk of the horn and a flash of the lights. They had one or two other lanes to continue at speed but that did not seem to bother them. Responding with high beam and a continuous honk was the best response I could muster.

Spot on! A friend living in Germany passed this gem of Deutsche SpracheBritDownUnder wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 03:46 I would guess something like “My priority. Get out the way”.
while describing the "joys" of autobahn driving. He conceded though that
a more accurate translation is something along the lines of " You are going to slow
you feckwit inferior driver and I will rear end you if you do not get out of my way".
Mind you such behavior is not displayed solely by German drivers.
