Appalling though not exactly surprising.
The UK, Europe, and the rest of the world really should be moving away from gas in general, and away from russian gas in particular. There are now THREE significant reasons to move away from gas and other fossil fuels.
It is generally accepted that the combustion of gas and other fossil fuels is driving climate change.
A minority take a different view and do not believe in the above. They should still seek to minimise fossil fuel consumption, due to greatly increased prices.
A different minority no doubt think that the actions of russia are acceptable and not a reason to boycott russian gas.
Now ask, how many people, do not believe in climate change, AND believe that gas is cheap/will soon become cheap, AND approve of russian foreign policy ?
We may be decades away from completely ending the use of gas and other fossil fuels, but time to make a start. It looks increasingly silly to burn gas for electricity production when the wind is blowing or when the sun is shining.
