About the last the last person in the most unlikely country to be making such a statement, even with the caveat that "more investment will solve the problem" This might be code for "we want other people to invest their money in our infrastructure"
Still a bit worrying in my view. Twilight in the desert ?

Seems there's far too much investment going into new carbon sources.

Well, claims of running out of capacity are sure a darn sight better than the last time some Saudi minister claimed peak oil and and whatnot was about to end the world.Vortex2 wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 16:33 Saudi Oil Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman warned Tuesday that the world is "running out of energy capacity at all levels."

Most current concern seems to be with fertilizer and food supplies, inflation and dealing with the Europeans waking up to the monster prowling their continent and what it might mean to them seeing as how they based their lifestyles on buying energy from him and all. Lets hope the US can provide enough LNG and maybe the Old World can get to some New World development of their own resources, to make current events and transitioning into a more responsible energy consumption configuration less painful to the consumers.

I liked Matt Simmons writing style.
That rapid onset dementia he had in his last few months was a bummer 'tho.

A lot of it from state owned companies in not very nice/democratic countries who will probably spend it on causing trouble.clv101 wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 18:10 On the other hand:

Was it that or just an enthusiastism for liquid refreshments of the adult kind? I mean, he was whack-a-doodle there at the end and TOD tore his nonsense apart pretty well, but he had the same flushed cheeks and facial appearance close to the end that Ruppert did, of concern when it pertains to anyone not Santa Claus.

I heard he died in his hot tub so it was not too bad an end. I would like to go that way but in the company of a 23 year old former Playboy bunny.
