You are correct UE. Perhaps they are being left there so that casual viewers of the site can see the rebuttals. I pointed out the obviousness of Invalids employment status a few pages ago and got a proper telling off from another not Russian troll long term site member (water off a ducks back, this is the internet after all).
The point of view being expressed by these two individuals was already in line with Putin's re-imagining of Ukrainian-Russian history. Now it is line with Putin's re-imagining of the purpose of the war (oops, sorry, "special military operation"). If he didn't want to take Kiev, why the massive armoured column sent in that direction from the north, and why the attempt on day one to take the airport? It is transparent bullshit.
Perhaps the very liberal view being taken on not banning them is what Putin refers to as the Wests decadence?

( My bold )
And thanks to a considered approach to membership you and others have the opportunity to expose it as such. Not a successful trolling operation.
I certainly agree this is a resource war. He isn't saying much new, of course there is a class of person 'above' nationalism who are involved in this sort of thing for the cash and f*ck any other consideration. We, the general population, aren't psychopaths
and we don't have mechanisms in place to f*ck these wankers right back.

But all wars, in all places, at all times, have been resource wars.

We are on a certain level, look at the bankers who nicked billions from the public, in bailouts, were phycsos, many double glazing salesmen the same.

Best leave the mass nicking of resources to government, as long as we can vote them out.

Not true. An obvious counter-example is the numerous wars involving Islamist extremists whose only agenda is forcing people to submit to Islam. Very frequently the places being fought over have been resource-poor. Wars are frequently ideological.

Religion is the control of resources using faith. Take a peek at the Vatican, the sumptuous wealth!
Islam, keep the ladies from the resources by putting a sheet over them and keeping them subservient to men. Tell the young men to go and fight over this bit of worthless sand and take your pick of the brides.
If we take as an axiom that wealth gives you access to resources, and wealth gets you the gal, then all wars, in all places, at all times, have been resource wars.
“The people's republics of Calais turned to Boris Johnson with a request for help.
In this regard … I decided to conduct a special military operation. Its goal is to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Paris regime for eight years. And for this we will strive for the demilitarisation and denazification of Calais, as well as bringing to justice those who committed numerous, bloody crimes against civilians, including citizens of the United Kingdom”
Article suggesting that China is ditching Putin. Without China's support he is finished. Slow strangulation of the economy and in step increase in NATO.
"but behind the scenes, the government is wary of Chinese companies running afoul of sanctions - it is pressing companies to tread carefully with investments in Russia, its second-largest oil supplier and third-largest gas provider"
Does Putin have any way of disrupting Starlink systems in Russia ? I'm wondering if, as well as overestimating his military capability, he might be overestimating his control of news of the military catastrophe at home. A big airdrop ( not literally ) of cheap Starlink receivers might be the final nail in his coffin.
Starlink is only the access network - it still needs lots of ground stations within a few hundred km of the user equipment to get onto the Internet proper. The deployments in Ukraine are likely only covering the west, using ground stations in Poland and Romania.
