Latest reports state "four dead" in the shocking violence at the Capitol building.
This does make the USA look like a banana republic.

Perhaps the guards simply didn't want to open fire on their civilian countrymen.

..............

But, the MSM propaganda is currently, laughably trying to make everyone believe these are ‘Trump supporters.’

A false flag would also explain why it was so ridiculously easy for them to overcome police and break into the capital building during a Joint Session of Congress with Electoral College votes being certified, at a time when the capital building is presumably at a very high state of alert.
LJ, you are always accusing your detractors of being laughable and pathetic. It is definitely you who are now sounding laughable and pathetic with your vain attempts to save the honour of your obviously mentally sick, deranged hero, Trump. Others have named and shamed the Trump supporters but you can't even see the reference to shamanism and the buffalo head the shaman is wearing. Vikings didn't wear horned hats according to the latest historical research that I have seen.

I think that this last four years shows just how easy it would have been for psychopaths like Hitler and Mussolini to take over the legitimate governments of their own countries when a psychopath like Trump can make a bid to usurp the legitimate government of the US after only four years in power and get so much support. Social media makes the propagation of ridiculous conspiracy theories so easy nowadays and we have had and still have quite a few suckers here who will jump on any bandwagon going.

As to how easy it was for the protesters to get into the Capitol, the federal authorities control the calling out of the National Guard in DC and they are still beholden to the President. Even the Vice President and the Leader of the Senate together with a large number of Congressmen were reluctant to come out against an obviously deranged President making claims which he has been unable to make stick in court so why would anyone else get the army out against the President's supporters?

The reason that his claims haven't stuck in court is that his legal representatives, while they have been happy to tell all sorts of lies outside the court where they can't be prosecuted for telling those lies, have not been willing to tell those lies in court where they know that they will be prosecuted as they can't substantiate the lies. Hence all Trump's legal suites have failed. It is not some gigantic conspiracy against the poor Donald, it is that poor sick Donald's conspiracy to take over government has been smashed against the rocks of the US Constitution and laws.

Has anyone else noticed that the danger from conspirators to deny people's votes comes from the right in the US over this election and mainly from the left in the UK over the Brexit vote?

Probably because the guards only had side arms and the protesters had assault weapons and body armour. None of the guards that I saw even had riot gear on. They were singularly unprepared for a riot on the scale which they were faced with perhaps because the DC authorities didn't want to be seen to be provoking violence and perhaps because the Federal authorities didn't want to antagonise the deranged Commander-in-Chief.

The limited response by the police and security officers is IMHO understandable.
Shooting civilians in or near the capitol building is justified in case of riot or SERIOUS disorder as occurred, it is not however something to be done except as a last resort.
Equipping the police or security officers with assault weapons or body armour sends out the wrong message and should not be considered under normal circumstances. Sidearms and extendable batons are reasonable.

I suspect that assault weapons and body armour are stored in an armoury for use in case of emergency, but that does not help when a normal day suddenly turns violent.

"You may be a redneck if you are hanging onto Confederate money because you believe that the South will rise again"
Comes to mind looking at the number of confederate flags being waved.

Hypocrisy and double standards are amazingly high.

As is the faux outrage.

Many people don't like democracy being mucked with.

Despite this, some people don't think it's very important.

Biden will always be remembered as the president who really wasnt.

Trump as one of the better, if more controversial.

Twitter, facebook et all are very damaging.

As is msm.

Most people are forgetful morons.

Including those who think they're not (yes, I know).

Most people like to be led.

I saw a very interesting flag that was half US flag and half Confederate flag being flown during these protests. Personally I liked the protests and hope it shakes things up a bit and lets Biden know he wont get an easy run by the public even if he does in the legislative branch. Time for him to go green and quickly before the next elections.

Trump has given a speech condemning the riots and saying the rioters should face justice. He was reading from autocue and has clearly been read the riot act by his own cabinet.

This is a natural response from Trump - blame everybody except himself and throw the little people under the nearest bus. He is clearly now planning the 2024 campaign and it will not involve any we the people rhetoric.

I saw several flags during the protests but none with any environmental message . Trump and his supporters don't seem to have it high on their agendas . I think most of us on here would like to see the US move in a greener direction , good for the environment but i would think less good for healing the divides in American society.
