Bojo stands to get a better trade deal from Biden than he would ever have got from Trump. We might not be lumbered with all that crap, cheap US food now that Trump, with all his globalist, big business backers, is not there to force the issue.

We can but hope even if Biden is against our leaving the EU.

I haven't thought much about the political consequences, I'm just very happy with the possibility of having a decent human at the head of the US. I'm sitting here feeling warm and happy, full of hope for the world.

I would have thought that Biden, as an Irish Catholic, would be fairly anti-British and his policies would reflect that. Unless he has another foreign war to fight of course.

I can't help but thinking that when Trump wins the votes cast at the polling stations on the day and then Biden appears to have won a large majority of the postal votes there is something going on.
Either the Democratic Party placed great emphasis on getting its supporters to vote by post, and the Republicans did not, OR something more fishy is going on. In Australia voting either directly or by post is compulsory. They do nasty things to you like taking away your driving licence if you do not vote.

No keyboard so brief. I see no voting irregularities that could change the result. Americans are long past the Catholic VS.Church of England fight. I see the results as a vote against Trump but not against the GOP as they gained house seats. If GOP holds senate best possible outcome.

Trump told his supporters to vote in person and was trying to destabilise the postal service to disrupt the votes for the Democrats. The only conspiracy was on Trump's side.

The Republicans may yet lose the senate without resorting to lawyers. There will be two run-off elections in January and if the Democrats win both the house will be tied. If Trump keeps acting the tin despot he may yet offend enough Republican voters to lose control of the senate.

America just went through a deep state coup.

And now, both here and elsewhere, we are witness to some seriously stomach-turning posts, as you all pretend the globo-cap "resistance" has just liberated the world from four years of brutal Putin-Nazi occupation. And no, I am not a "Trump supporter".

Meanwhile, all across the west, anti-libertarian, anti-democratic laws have been pushed through that will now never be taken off the statutes.

You people turn my stomach.

'I am done here'

Excellent. Both you and Trump. A good day.

I am done here
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying, "I love you."

Don't worry, he's threatened to leave before - he'll be back
Where else will he get a captive audience for his bile ?

The deep state coup was actually in 2016 when Trump was elected: he was never the Man of the People that he was portrayed as he was always a placeman of big business put in place to further the interests of big business at the expense of the ordinary people. This showed in his every action although he continued his buttering up of his gullible supporters.

What happened at this election was a counter coup after which the ordinary people might get a look in.
