They already were.
UK Personal Debt
The average total debt per household, including mortgages, was £60,213. Per adult this was £31,766, around 112% of average earnings. This is up from a revised £31,667 a month earlier.

So what will you all be doing for income over the coming weeks?

Now that I have sorted out security etc here I suppose I had better do some work. I've moved all my PCs etc to home, so I'll probably provide technical consultancy from home. No idea if it will work out but need to try!

How about you?

The growth curve is still exponential.

The growth curves for most countries are also exponential ... or at least not decaying.

Not much sign of major turn-arounds.
I thought today's number of USA new cases was encouraging but then I remembered that it is Sunday and some of the people that post the updates are not working today. Same for Italy with no fresh data after Friday.
It will take until at least Wednesday to see any trends.

No not a chance. Perhaps less drastic then this last Friday, maybe even pointed in the right direction but back to normal will probably have a date that ends in 2021.

One of my nursing colleagues got home after shift tonight to find her house burgled. They stole her puppy FFS. There are some real c**nts out there and not just the increasingly desperate.

Speaking of the increasingly desperate, one group of people who have gotten really angry on Facebook stuff that I have seen: self employed tradespeople who work predominantly for cash. 80% of tax returns is not going to work for them, and there are a hell of a lot out there. Maybe not as many as in Italy as mentioned in UEs clip, but it's still a lot of people with little income for the foreseeable future.

A couple of points : if at all possible, never leave the house empty.

My father taught me this years ago - during The Troubles in NI many houses were burned out, so if you went shopping you could return to find another family living in your house.

Also be careful what you say on Facebook etc ... people are watching.

Later on we might even need to be ready for home invasions by gangs of yobs.

Just a thought : some years ago we were losing a lot of eggs from our farm gate stand. I moaned about this to a local farmer, blaming the usual suspects. He however said that thieves nowadays are often businessmen on the way home ... they have lost their overtime and have no spare money but need to feed the kids, so do what they have to.

Global stats show a tiny downward kink in number of daily cases... hopeful, but we really need a 3-day average to confirm this trend.

In fact, most but not all, countries are seeing fewer cases each day.

Err ... or they are running out of test kits ....

Hydroxychloroquine keeps popping up. I posted a link to Ambrose in the Telegraph on here about two weeks ago. He said the same thing, but, also said it is still available and cheap.

I don't know if it rehash of old stories, but the refusal to go away may seem hopeful.

Disagree, this is Italy. Cash is king, I know a bloke who can.., Don't register for work you pay too much taxes, blatant selling of stolen goods on the streets, no effective local authorities just local mafia who run local services ( ever been to Naples in the summer when they don't collect the rubbish?)

I have always said, we don't do revolutions. They're for Johnny Foriegner in warmer countries.
